bauhaus-glass-pendant-light-modern-layered-led-hanging-lamp
Bauhaus Layered Glass Pendant

Layering glass is a trick that only works if the layers are the right distance apart. Too close and they read as one thick shade; too far and the fitting looks unfinished. Here the separation is judged so each layer catches light from the one above it, and the pendant appears to glow at several depths rather than from a single surface.

Iron detailing holds the glass and provides the structure, which is what allows the larger sizes in the range to hang safely from a single point. The suspension height is adjustable, so the same fitting can drop low over a dining table or hang high in a stairwell where the layers are viewed from below and the effect is at its strongest.

Eighteen size and finish combinations are offered, from a compact single unit to a large multi-tier piece suited to a double-height space. The LED runs warm rather than cool, which is what keeps the glass looking amber instead of clinical. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth, avoid abrasives on the ironwork, and have it installed by a qualified electrician with a load-rated fixing. Scale the diameter to the surface below rather than to the room, and choose a larger size for a stairwell where it is seen from several floors. Keep the layers free of dust, since the glow depends on light passing cleanly between them.

Design: Layered glass shades on iron detailing

Light source: Warm integrated LED

Adjustable: Variable suspension height

Options: Wide range of sizes and finishes

Style: Bauhaus-influenced modern

Use: Dining room, stairwell, living space, entryway

Care: Soft dry cloth, avoid abrasives on iron

Installation: Hardwired, load-rated fixing, qualified electrician

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1074/0092/1422/files/D1D83DB8-2129-40ee-A5CE-2005F290FF77-961624_5c1d289e-f1f9-4e6f-8c92-ed3e0d7c73b4.png?v=1788266868
