nordic-glass-ball-ceiling-light-semi-flush-mount
Nordic Glass Ball Ceiling Light

A glass sphere held just below the ceiling is one of the most forgiving fittings there is. It has no orientation to get wrong, no direction to aim, and it reads the same from every angle in the room, which is why the shape keeps returning in Nordic lighting decade after decade without ever looking dated.

Two finishes change the character considerably. Smoke grey mutes the source into a soft haze and suits a room that already has enough going on; amber warms everything passing through it and turns the fitting into a point of colour rather than a neutral one. Both hide the bulb well enough that the fitting is comfortable to look at directly. Four size and finish combinations are offered across the range.

Semi-flush mounting keeps it close enough to the ceiling for a hallway or a standard bedroom while retaining the depth that makes a sphere read as a sphere. It works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulbs, so output is your choice. Handle the glass by its collar, clean with a dry cloth, and have it wired in by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated. A warm low-wattage bulb suits the amber finish best, while smoke grey takes a brighter one.

Fixture type: Semi-flush mount ceiling light

Shade: Round glass ball

Finishes: Smoke grey or amber

Bulb types: LED, incandescent or fluorescent

Style: Nordic, modern, luxury

Use: Hallway, bedroom, living room

Care: Dry cloth, handle by the collar

Installation: Hardwired, qualified electrician

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1074/0092/1422/files/06_9d538a27-99e6-4c60-8538-32f1ba4234ca.jpg?v=1788266787
