Layered glass discs stacked on a central fitting, hung from a single cord: the Bauhaus reference is in the geometry rather than the ornament, and the result is a pendant that lights a room while behaving like a piece of sculpture. Light passes between and through the layers, so the fitting glows in bands rather than as a single mass.

Sizes run from 25 centimetres at 11 high up through larger versions, which covers a bedside or a hallway at the small end and a dining table or a bar at the large end. Hung singly it works as a focal point; hung in a row of three at even spacing it suits a kitchen island or a long counter in a commercial room. Larger sizes carry more visual weight, so scale the choice to the table rather than the room.

It is built from glass and iron, so it has weight and needs a proper ceiling fixing rather than a plasterboard anchor on its own. The cord is adjustable, so the drop can be set for the ceiling and the furniture below it. Handle the glass by the metal collar, clean with a dry cloth, and have it fitted by a qualified electrician. Plan the drop height before installation, since changing it afterwards means taking the fitting down again.
