Polished coloured glass over an iron fitting, 15 centimetres across and 22 tall: the Glass Pendant Light is small enough to hang in a row and rich enough in tone to carry a room on its own. The colour is in the glass rather than a coating, so light passing through it comes out tinted and deep rather than washed out. Moody rather than bright, which is the point.
It suits kitchens, dining areas, bedrooms and lounges, and it works in commercial rooms too, above a bar or along a cafe counter, where fittings take more visual load. A 150 centimetre cable is included and can be shortened at installation, which is what makes a row of them possible at a consistent, deliberate height. Three across a kitchen island is the usual arrangement.
Iron fittings and thick glass make it durable rather than delicate, and the small size keeps the weight manageable on a standard ceiling fixing. A warm bulb suits the coloured glass best. Handle the shade by its collar, clean it with a dry cloth, and let the bulb cool before changing it. Installation is hardwired and belongs to a qualified electrician. Keep the drop consistent across a row so the line reads clean.
