This pendant is turned from natural wood by hand, which means the grain, the tone and the small irregularities differ from one piece to the next. Lit, the wood glows warm at the edges and throws a soft pool downward; unlit, it reads as a carved object hanging over a table rather than as a light fitting waiting to be used. No two are identical, and that is deliberate.
The material is what makes it: sustainable timber, left with its grain visible, so it warms a room in the way that painted metal cannot. It suits Scandinavian, boho and Japandi interiors, and it sits particularly well over a dining table or a kitchen island where the wood can pick up the tone of the furniture below it. A run of three over a long table works well.
The cord height is adjustable at installation, and the fitting takes an E26 or E27 bulb, not included, on a wide 90 to 260 volt AC supply. Keep it away from steam and direct sunlight so the timber holds its colour, dust it with a dry cloth, and have it wired in by a qualified electrician with the power off at the board.
