Three heads that each point somewhere different is a genuinely different proposition from one central light. Instead of a single even wash and whatever shadows it leaves, you get three separate beams you can aim, which means light on the bench where you chop, on the picture on the far wall, and on the chair you actually read in, all from one fitting.
The wire cage shades are borrowed from workshop lighting, where they existed to protect the bulb rather than to look like anything. Used decoratively they frame the source without blocking it, so light escapes in every direction while the geometry of the bars gives the fitting its character. The effect suits kitchens, hallways and living rooms with an industrial or rustic lean.
The frame is black iron, heavy enough that the heads hold their angle rather than drifting back over time, which is the usual complaint about cheaper adjustable spots. It takes E14 bulbs, not included, and a visible filament bulb suits the cage design best. Installation is hardwired, so a qualified electrician should fit it with the circuit isolated at the board. Aim the heads once the furniture is in place rather than before.
