Tinting a globe changes what the light does rather than only how the fitting looks. Colour in the glass filters the output as it passes through, so the glow that reaches the wall carries a warmth or a smokiness that a clear or white shade cannot produce, and the sphere itself stays interesting when switched off.
The arm is brass and curved rather than straight, which sets the globe slightly away from the wall and gives the fitting a profile from the side. Brass was chosen because it warms the tinted glass beside it; a chrome arm against coloured glass reads as two unrelated ideas. Four colour and finish combinations are offered across the range.
The scale is compact, so it works beside a bed, in a living room or along a hallway without dominating the wall. Output is ambient rather than task, better for mood than for reading. The base is durable metal and the shade thick glass. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth, avoid abrasives on the brass, and have it installed by a qualified electrician. Mount it at roughly seated shoulder height so the globe sits below the sightline and the curve of the arm stays visible. A pair either side of a bed reads as deliberate, and matching the glass tone across both keeps the scheme consistent.
