An hourglass silhouette in brushed gold aluminium that throws light both up and down: the shape is architectural rather than decorative, and the two beams it casts across a wall do most of the visual work. It is rated IP66, which means it is sealed well enough for a patio, a bathroom or an exposed entrance as well as a hallway. Nordic minimalism with a bit of weight to it.
The material choice matters outdoors. Aluminium does not corrode the way steel does, and the matte gold spray finish holds its colour against sun and rain rather than chalking. The shade is PMMA with high light transmittance, so the beams stay clean-edged rather than diffusing into a general glow, which is what makes up-and-down lighting worth having. Mounted in a run along a fence line the effect is even.
The LED is built in and efficient, giving soft, bright output at low power, and there is no bulb to replace. It suits bedrooms, hallways, patios and bathrooms. Installation is hardwired, so a qualified electrician should fit it with the circuit isolated, and outdoor installations should be checked for a proper weatherproof seal at the wall. Wipe the finish with a dry cloth and avoid abrasives.
