Swirled glass is the signature of Murano glassmaking, where colour is worked into the body rather than applied to the surface, so the pattern runs through the material and moves as you change angle. This lamp borrows that technique for a mushroom silhouette, which means the swirls are visible in daylight and become far more pronounced once the light behind them is on.
Stepless dimming rather than fixed steps is worth having on a lamp this size. At full brightness it is a usable bedside light; turned right down it becomes a soft glow that does not wake anyone, and the range between those two is continuous rather than jumping between preset levels. Three colours are offered, pink, white and beige, all muted enough to sit against most furniture.
USB power keeps the setup simple: it runs from a laptop, a wall adapter or a power bank, with no transformer to find room for behind the table. Hand-blown glass varies slightly in swirl and thickness between pieces, which is normal. Clean the glass with a soft dry cloth, avoid solvents, and handle it by the base rather than the dome when moving it around. The swirl pattern is most visible when the lamp is turned low.
