A plain circle is the hardest shape to get right, because there is nothing to hide behind. Treat the fitting as a unit rather than a lamp. Dust it with a dry cloth and avoid solvent cleaners on the diffuser. Installation is hardwired, so a qualified electrician should fit it with the circuit isolated.
