Pastel and timber is the pairing that defines a certain kind of Scandinavian interior, and the reason it works is restraint. The colour is soft enough to stay in the background, the wood keeps it from looking synthetic, and the matte metal stops either from turning glossy. Nothing here shouts, which is the entire point of the style.
The shade rotates through ninety degrees, so the same fitting covers reading and ambient use. Angled down beside a chair it puts light on a page; turned toward the wall it becomes a soft background glow for an evening. That range is what makes one wall lamp sufficient in a room that would otherwise need a floor lamp as well as a sconce.
Durable metal forms the body with wood accents at the joint, and five colour options are offered across the range. It suits a reading nook, a bedside wall or a living room corner. Move the shade gently within its range rather than forcing it past the stops, wipe the finish with a dry cloth, avoid abrasives on the matte coating, and have it installed by a qualified electrician. A pair either side of a bed lets each person set their own angle without disturbing the other. Choose a warm bulb, since a cool one turns the pastel finish grey and loses the effect entirely.
